    Check out this site I found... http://www.nativeremedies.com/about_us.shtml

    On the right side of the page where you fill out the little form to sign up for the newsletter I want to know how they made the fields so when you click on one of them the text in the fields such as "First Name" totally erases as soon as you click on it. I want to do somehting like this with the form fields on my site but don't know what they are doing to envoke this. Java?

    very simple - it's actually in their source code too. Here ya go.
    Code:
    <input name="First_Name" class="textField" type="text" maxlength="80" value="First Name" onblur="if(this.value==''){this.value='First Name'}" onfocus="if(this.value=='First Name'){this.value=''}"/>
