    For some odd reason, the table below seems to negate all style information set in the .css. The table/div combo is in a main div called content_hold, and it has style information for everything - text size, color, style, etc.
    But the size, and style seem to revert to some odd default that I can't find in the .css, when I put text in a table like the one below.

    Code:
    <div>
    <table width="450" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
    	<tr align="left">
    		<td><b>Name:</b></td>
    		<td>Title</td>
    	</tr>
    </table>
    Due to certain agreements, I can't link to the working example... However I can answer any and all questions you may have.

    CSS:
    Code:
    #content_hold
    {

    	width: 475px;
    	min-height:800px;
    	height: 100%;
    	text-align:left;
    	margin-left: 20px;
    	padding: 5px;
    	padding-top: 1px;
    	padding-bottom: 40px;
    	color: #BCBB85;
    	font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    	font-size: 11px;
    }

    Could it be that you haven't yet set a style for the table yet?

    Could you at least upload a screenshot of the table.

    Based on the above style, the text should be #BCBB85, font-size should be 11px. Based on the above statement nothing else applies to the table.

    I haven't set a style for the table yet, but that shouldn't matter - it should inherit the style from the parent... Shouldn't it?
    The text color IS BCBB85, but the font size is 12, 13, or 14...

    I'll see if I can upload an image, but it shouldn't be necessary to do so.

    Try styling the table separately, and see if it works:

    Code:
    #content_hold
    {

        width: 475px;
        min-height:800px;
        height: 100%;
        text-align:left;
        margin-left: 20px;
        padding: 5px;
        padding-top: 1px;
        padding-bottom: 40px;
        color: #BCBB85;
        font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
        font-size: 11px;
    }

    #content_hold table {

            blah
    }

    #content_hold table tr {

            blah
    }

    #content_hold table tr td {
            blah
    }

    Or, as usual, just specify multiple selectors separated by commas to apply the styles to all of the selectors.
