    Ok i know theyre seen as tacky but a friend wants me to put one on his site.
    Does anyone know anywhere that i can get one from pref free that dosent come with annoying adverts below it?
    Just a plain old counter that i can put on their homepage!
    Iv googled around for about an hour and they all seem to come with annoying adds!
    Thanks in advance

    upload all the files to your server (dont worry theres only 3) and add
    <?php
    include ("counter.php");
    ?>

    in the place you want it to appear - theres an example here

    Now that i have added a counter it has adjusted the vertical scroll bar at the seid of the page bringing it in and making the page look odd. Any ideas?

    I always tell clients that web counters only show you how unpopular your site is.......lol
    Try joe2torials.com, they have some cool stuff on there.

    Or, if he really wants to know how many hits he gets, just get him a hosting plan with some good web stats. It beats a counter any day.
