What I'm trying to do here is a bit hard to explain. I've got 5 different images - all are 400x300. The first image is a blank white area while the other four are bars (top, right, bottom, left). I'm using an image map to switch between the images when hovering over a certain area (top, right, bottom, left - you get the idea) and that works fine. What I'm trying to do is when they click on a certain area, I want the image to stay on the one that is displayed and don't want them to be able to hover over any more. I don't know if that makes sense. As I said it's kind of hard to explain. I've attached a zip file with the images and the htm file to show what I mean a bit better.

Use unobtrusive Javascript to change the HTML so when something is clicked, the rollover effect stays active AND disable the rollover itself.

I have an eye for detail like you'd never believe.

We could help even better if we had an actual web page to see (not an image).
