Hello, how do I make a form where you enter a file, name, and a description of the file and send it to my e-mail? Also, how do I make it so it will only accept animated gifs. Thanks! (I am using dreamweaver mx 2004, just incase that might have a feature to do this.)

    Welcome.

First of all, I think you should learn the basics. Here is a good start.

In particular you will want to study the form element.

Next, you will need to use a server side script.

Examples are JSP, ASP, PHP, Perl, there are more! I develop in PHP.

This is the file that the form uses to process the data, the file is specified in the action attribute of the form tag, like below
    HTML Code:
    <form name="upload" action="process.php" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data">
In process.php this is where the script will send the text and the image to an email address.

You could search google for how to email attachments.

Wait, I am confused here. Just, how do you get the submit button to send all the form data to my e-mail in dreamweaver.

You need a server side language, not just HTML to send anything via email.

The HTML will create the form but it has no means to send you the image/text.That is where you need a server sdie language.

And along with the server-side scripting tutorials you'll need ...

You can check for a specific file type, like .gif ...

But whether or not it's animated ? I don't think there's a way to detect that.

    Dark ...

    No ... don't give up.

You will be required to either use your own server-side script (like PHP),
or using a remote service to send the email with file attachment.

There is no other "easy" way.

That's the point of using Google to find tutorials that will teach you
how to use PHP and do things with websites. Learn it, even if it's
hard to do ... you won't regret it, and you'll need to learn it anyhow
    if you're making websites.

Buy some books and take some classes at a school or something.
Maybe have a friend or someone do some tutoring for you.

Don't give up just because it looks hard.
