    Hi Everyone,

I'm creating a website in php coding and the lady who wants me to build it for her wants her header image to consist of three images. She wants it done as a slideshow so that each image lasts a few seconds then stops on their main image. (The third one). I've created the slideshow as an FLV movie but am not sure how to embed it into the webpage for the header. I'm not sure if I've even done it right. I don't know the coding for embedding a movie.

Also she wants their movie page to consist of one movie window with links down the left side to each of their movies. So when you click the link the movie loads into the one section rather then loading a new page when the link is clicked.

Can anyone please give me some advice here. I'm lost for how to do all of this bit and its driving me crazy.

First, find a free Video Flash Player that you can embed.
    Use Google:
    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&s...er&btnG=Search

Experiment with some and then give us a link to your website so we can see it.

Once we see your page, we can discuss the other parts of your post.

I suggest using Javascript instead of Flash for the header images. Try this script out: http://www.dyn-web.com/javascript/ro...tate-rand.html

Arghh I don't know what I've done wrong but this is the link to the site I'm working on.

    http://bmpb.metrohosting.info/

Now its put a double layer for the menu when it should only be one. The time has moved down into the text when it should be just above the menu bar and the flv should be in the blank spot above the menu and time.

    Helpppp please!!

Maybe I'm doing it all completely wrong. The lady has given me 3 images to work with. All the same size that she wants done as a slideshow type image for her header logo. She wants the images to fade out between switching or some special effects but the last image has to stay static.

Any ideas on how to do this and then how to embed it or have I done it right so far. Also I noticed an article said I needed an swf file if I did it as an FLV movie but the program I used didn't create an swf just the FLV.

I don't want to pay for any software as I'm doing this as a favour to her for all she's done for me recently.

You'll have to find a Flash Video Player that doesn't have any visible controls,
and it runs when the page loads.

Try "flowplayer" and configure it without displaying controls:

    http://flowplayer.org/config/variables

It's free and it works nice.
    It plays .flv video files.
You can loop or not loop.
