Is there any coding that you can use so that if a page is HTML and someone puts in HTM, (and vice versa), would make the page come up?

Assuming you need this because old pages use the extension HTM you'd want to use an .htaccess file to re-direct all traffic from the old to new pages.

    Something like:

    redirect 301 /dir/file.htm http://www.example.com/dir/file.html

Also maybe if you have a 404.shtml file you could try and load the specified URL with an l on the end, although that could lead to an infinite lop of 404's. Ha
