    I'm a born again noob after being out of web design for 3 years so please bear with me.

    I built a site in Wordpress and I am trying to customize a theme. I added a collapsible menu on the left sidebar, this all works fabulously HOWEVER...as I expand and collapse the menu, the entire page moves up and down. Also, the main content of the page (the blog) starts halfway down the page.

    Here is the link: http://www.parent-child.org/Wordpress
    so you can see what I'm talking about.

    I just want to know what I need to fix where and where to add/remove code so that it looks and acts normal.

    Also, I realize that this may fall under Php problems but I wasn't sure.

    Can you help before I've pulled all my hair out?
    Thanks!

    A couple of things ....

    Try this first:

    .glossymenu{
    margin: 5px 0;
    padding: 0;
    width: 150px; /*width of menu*/
    border: 1px solid #000000;
    border-bottom-width: 0;
    float:left;
    }

    Next, since glossymenu appears only once on the page,
    I would make it a <div id> instead of <div class>

    So, <div id="glossymenu">

    Then, the references in your CSS file would be:

    #glossymenu{ instead of .glossymenu{
    (and the other references also)

    ============

    Because it's so hard to duplicate your HTML and CSS for testing,
    I'm just sort of guessing on some things you can try.
    The float:left; is easy to try first.

    (insert hallelujah chorus here)

    Adding float:left; worked perfectly! Thank you SO much!
