    Hi!

I have a question. Does anyone know how to get a link to open a page in a new window instead of leaving the one your in? does that make sense?

    Welcome to the board, PlaidDad!

There are a few ways you can do this. One way (the easy way) is the filburt-suggested way. However, if you want more control over the window (sizing it, scrollbars, status bar, etc.) you will need to use JavaScript to do this.

There are many articles and FAQs at the following link:

    http://developer.irt.org/script/window.htm

One other thing you should consider in either case: many computer users have popup-window and new-browser-window-killing software, and a few of the newer browers (e.g. Netscape 7) have included it as a standard feature. This means that not everyone will be able to see it. So try to keep your popup windows to a minimum if you can.
