    Hello, I am very new with html, I know the basics but I still need to learn alot more. I am designing a site and I really need to know how to make the browser screen to fit around my table. It needs to be 400 wide and the height doesn't matter. Is there a code that would make the browser window fit around my table or am I doing this all wrong.. Please Help... Thank you!

    Fit around your table? If I'm thinking what you're looking for, then you could try something like this:

    PHP Code:
    <table height="100%" width="400">
    <!--
    TABLE CONTENT GOES HERE -->
    </
    table

    Well, thats kinda what I meant. But I still have all this white space around my table. I would like to not be able to see the white space and would like the browser to fit perfectly around the table I created.. I guess it would kinda be like a pop up page. I am still not sure if I'm asking the right question...

    How about in the body tag, a bgcolor as well?

    Something like:
    PHP Code:
    <body bgcolor="#000000"
    But of course, replacing #000000 with the colour of your choice.

    This will make the page's background colour the same as the table's background colour.

    Try removing the margins.

    Code:
    <body topmargin="0" leftmargin="0">

    Ok, I tried the margins but it still didn't work. Well I know how to explain what I want to do .. If you go to www.korn.com once you enter the site go to the photo gallery page... when you click on the picture it will pop up a window.... that pop up window is what i want. the browser fits right around it. Do you know how to do that..

    Go to http://www.korn.com/index.php, then click on Gallery. I know what he's talking about, but don't know how to do it. Basically it removes all of the browser controls, at least on IE 6.

    It's a javascript pop up window done so Like this:
    Code:
    <script>
    function your_popup(url) {
     var props = "scrollbars=no,resizable=no,width=750,height=500";
     window1 = window.open(url,'newWin',props);
    }
    </script>
    and you call that function by using this link:
    [minicode]<a href="javascript:your_popup('yourPage.html')">Your Page</a>[/minicode]

    In the above code, remove the space in "java script"

    On yourPage.html format the body/table like so:
    Code:
    <body topmargin="0" leftmargin="0">
     <table border="0" width="100%" height="100%">
      <tr>
       <td><!-- page content --></td>
      </tr>
     </table>
    </body>
    Hope that helps, post any other questions or problems you may have so we can help you out.
