    Hi Everyone,
    I am still fairly new to CSS. I need to take a header that was originally one single image and divide it into 3 parts. The top will be an image 740x35, the middle is 740x230 and the bottom is 740x35.

    Here is my header info from the stylesheet:
    Code:
    #header{
    	margin:0;
    	padding:0;
    	height:300px;
    	width: 740px;
    	background-image: url(images/header.jpg);
    	background-repeat: no-repeat;
    	float:left;
    	}
    Here is part of my layout:
    Code:
    <body>
    <div id="container">
    <div id="innercontainer">
    <div id="header">
    <div id="menu">
    </div>
    </div>
    What do I need to do to this to divide the header and add in the images to the code?

    Thank you for your help in advance.

    You can't make them all backgrounds within one <div>, so either
    you make them separate <div> or not make them backgrounds.

    But if they are not backgrounds, you can't put text over the top.

    It would sure be nice if you showed us your URL, so we can see it.
    Tough to help without seeing anything .... sorry.

    The top and bottom need to be background images and the middle is actually being converted into an .swf (flash header). The tabbed menu falls on top of the top image.

    Sorry, since it is under construction it is not publicly available to view. I would understand if you are not able to help without the visual representation.

    OK. I think I got it. I created 2 extra DIV and added them into the page. Thank you for your help.
