    Hi everybody!

Well, I am new in this forum so first of all hello to everyone of you.

Letīs see if somebody can give me a hand with this. I believe it is a very simple question but I am just starting, so please donīt laugh.

I am trying to make a website of teaching resources for primary school teachers. I have made the basic layout using CSS but I have reached a problem I donīt know how to solve. You can see the first page I have made there:

    http://pedaldoc.com/html/website2.html

Well, on the left upper side you can see text saying "The human body" and a picture of a human body. The thing is that I want to make a link so when you click on the picture or the text you are taken to a powerpoint presentation I will upload to my server. The thing is that I DONīT KNOW HOW TO MAKE THE LINK!

Everytime I make it using the standard way of linking in html (<a href="http://pedaldoc.com/html/humanbody.ppt ">THE HUMAN BODY</a>) the link gets into the menu. You got an example there:

    http://pedaldoc.com/html/website3.html

What I am doing wrong? Please, I will really appreciate your help.

    Thanks a lot,

    Iván

Try changing your CSS for the links. You have your navigation in a <ul>, which is great. But when you styled those links, you only used the a selector. Try changing that to ul li a:link, and ul li a:hover for the main navigation, and then your content links should be fine.
Just a pointer, your HTML is a mess. Everything should be on it's own line and indented for easier reading/editing.

And validate your code, you have CSS and HTML errors that will probably end up causing you problems in the future. http://validator.w3.org/
