Does this mean you want to add a banner on the sidebar that
links to someone else's site? Like a graphic banner or a text link?
Where exactly is this banner going to go?

The "BTW" ... it's supposed to be funny (By The Way) ... maybe I thought it was funnier than it really is?

What version of WordPress are you running, and it does make a
difference if you're putting those banners between posts on the
main section, or the sidebar ... where will the banners appear?

I'm thinking that you're assuming all of this is really simple, we just give you
some code to insert someplace ... but it's not that easy. Your whole website (blog)
is dynamically generated using PHP and MySQL. Whatever you do needs to be
    incorporated into the scripting.

This is going to require a plugin, as the coding will be too extreme.

As far as the HTML you send them, that depends on whether or not you'll
be giving them a text link, or requiring them to use a graphic image (banner)
    of your own.
