    Does anyone know the best way to insert this menu
    into this web template I would like to insert this menu into the black area (replacing "some simple text or some links here")

    Is there a server side include that allows me to work offline?

    Thanks for your time.

    Your links are not correct, so we can't see your pages.

    To work offline, you need to have a server, or server software
    installed on your PC, along with PHP. It can be done, but I find
    it easier to just use an FTP program (like FileZilla) and work back
    and forth. Edit using notepad, move the file over, and look at it online.

    server side include that allows you to work offline? huh.

    working offline - install a local server and php as the above suggested
    server side include - a server including one page in the other

    template.ext where ext is the language ur working in .php for php, .cfm for coldfusion, .jsp for java server pages .aspx for asp.net

    anyways you MUST be using a server-side language to use includes.

    template.ext
    <div id="header">

    </div>
    <?php include "menu.php";?>

    thats it.
