    Hello,
    I'm trying to get a div or span to take up the remaining space between two other spans. Right now all it's doing is expanding with anything inside of it.

    http://hatbocs.com/test/index2.html

    There is a link to the page. If you look under the post where it says "make me take up this space" between the information and the word "up". I would like that middle span (i made it an inline div originally) to push "up" all the way to the right inside the parent div. Eventually "up" will be styled with a background as well.

    Thanks for any help

    .infoBar{
    width: x %;
    float: left;
    }

    .mySpan{
    width: auto;
    }

    <div class="infoBar"></div>
    <div class="mySpan"> <span> | UP </span></div>

    this may work
