I've been tinkering with a small website for a friend lately and I just can't for the life of me get the scrollbar to co-operate. They want the frame to have a coloured scrollbar with a transparent track, so it "looks pretty" in IE. Normally this is no problem for me, but for some reason this one refuses to work.

Is it something to do with the iframe being on a div layer?

    1152 x 864:

    1024 x 768:

(And don't worry - the background graphics, content and image map targets are by no means finished, and the 1024x768 resolution was just quickly put together for display purposes )

You say that normally it's not a problem ...

have you done something like this in the past?

    Here is further discussion:

Because so many people use FF, Safari, and IE8 (not sure if the above works with IE8),
I'm not sure it's worth the effort to make things specific for IE6,7. The articles talk
about the transparency only working for IE8 in quirks mode. That's not a good thing.
