    Hi,
I'm putting up a site that will show video.

Should I use flv or quicktime format? Is there a reason why one is better than the next?

    best,
    gp

The reason I like FLV is that there are free Flash Players that work on all platforms.
You can embed in your website and they work on most PC's.

    That's just my personal preference.
Maybe others have more thoughts on using Quicktime instead?

    M,
    Thanks again for your help.

I actually was able to get up a flv player.
I'm trying to put a different skin on it and I can't manage to get it working.
Could you please take a peek at my site:

I guess I don't know how to put the code for the flahvar on for snel.swf

    Thanks,
    gp

FLV is supported by anyone with Flash (about 90% of web users)
MOV is supported by anyone with Quicktime player (about 50% of web users)

I think the choice is obvious.
