    I've been using a template website, and used my flash editor to modify some of the content for this business specific needs, however for some odd reason the flash does not want to load in IE 8 or Safari, Any suggestions.

    Here is the code!

    </style>
    </head>
    <body id="page-1" onload="new ElementMaxHeight();">
    <!--header -->
    <div id="header">
    <object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
    codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,24"
    width="980" height="515">
    <param name="movie" value="images/flash/header_v8.swf?button=1" />
    <param name="quality" value="high" />
    <param name="menu" value="false" />
    <!--[if !IE]> <-->
    <object data="flash/header_v8.swf?button=1"
    width="980" height="515" type="application/x-shockwave-flash">
    <param name="quality" value="high" />
    <param name="menu" value="false" />
    <param name="pluginurl" value="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />

    FAIL (the browser should render some flash content, not this).
    </object>
    <a href="#" class="button"><span>Learn more</span></a><!--><![endif]--></object></div>

    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hello Spectrum!

    I put this example together for you, using the code you posted below. To fix it, I used the SWFObject lib to fix your problem.

    Example: http://dev.eventux.com/clients/testing/flash-help/

    Also there is a archive you can download of all the files. (zip format) Please holler if you have any questions at all.

    [infobox=Code Changes]Below is the code, to show you how what was basically done. The example I put together will be far more helpful.[/infobox]

    HTML Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" lang="en" xml:lang="en">
    <head>
        <title>testing</title>
        <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
        <script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js"></script>
        <script type="text/javascript">
            swfobject.registerObject("myFlashContent", "9.0.0");
        </script>
    </head>

    <body id="page-1" onload="new ElementMaxHeight();">
