Hello!
I could use some help with this issue!
Problem: I desire to simply center a table (my webpage header), center a background image, and have them align with each other.
If you visit coffeebreakgallery.com, you will see what I mean. In both Firefox and IE 8, the home page elements of the header and backgound image jpg usually will align fairly well, but pages that display my photos don't align very well. On occasion, simply hitting the "Refresh" button will align the header table with the tiling background image. The desired effect is to have a pale beige line run down both the left and right sides of the page, aligning with the pale beige vertical line in the header graphic.
The background image used is a 972 x 1 pixel jpg that tiles down the page
I have tried using simple html coding ("center" tags), but to no avail. I thought CSS might work better, but no dice, either. In its current state, it looks rather cheesy when not aligned, so any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Ralph
