    Oh ...

    You can use PHP to "include" them.

    Example, this will put the contents of the included file into
    the same exact spot where the command is located ...

    <?php include("document1.html")?>

    Any page that uses PHP must either have the extension of .php (instead of .html),
    or you command the server to process HTML as PHP scripts.

    Normally, when you include a text file, that file is content. It's OK if it has
    HTML tags in it, but not tags such as <html>, <head>,<body> etc.
    Make sure it only has basic tags that won't affect your main HTML page.

    hmm, so if i use the include php statement will the entire page show up? because i only want the articles to be featured on the index document, not all the other docuements.

    You specify which articles (or which files) ...
    If everything is all clumped together into one file, then
    you'll have to pick it apart. You'll have to explain better
    what you mean, or show us one of the HTML pages.

    Could it be possible to show only a percentage of a divtag? I mean the articles will be located in the "left_content" divtag so showing maybe 200 letters of that tag in the index document could be a good amount.

    Is it possible to show us one of those files (the URL to a file)?
    Or PM me if you can't publicly display any URL or links.
