    I've pasted the code below. I'm new to html and am trying to make a page with 2 elements a background color and 1 image (as an embedded fladh file to prevent image theft) that is centered on the page. I'm trying to code so that I understand what I'm doing with the goal to improve the code as I learn more. Right now the only thing that shows up is the color black on my site. I've used W3 HTML Checker and already revised the code below based on the feedback from that site. I'm not sure what else could be wrong. Your help would be appreciated:

    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
    <title>Broadcasting Concept Art</title>
    <style type="text/css">
    body {
    background-color: #000000;
    }
    html {
    overflow: auto;
    }
    </style>

    <style type="text/css">
    div.cl {position:absolute; width:100%; height:100%; margin:0px; padding:0px; left:0px; right: 0px; z-index:1;}
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <div class="cl"><object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
    codebase="http://active.macromedia.com/flash2/cabs/swflash.cab#version=4,0,0,0"
    id="bca.maincomp" width="1024" height="768">
    <param name="movie" value="file:///Images/bca.maincomp.1">
    <param name="quality" value="high">
    <embed src="file:///Images/bca.maincomp.1"
    quality="high" width="1024" height="768"
    type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
    pluginspace="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash">
    </embed>
    </object>
    </div>
    </body>
    </h

    We need to see the REAL site ... give us the URL to it.

    We can't duplicate your site just by looking at what you provided.

    Yeah those can be funny! The string of characters will sometimes trigger those.

    Which is what [ html ] tags are for.

    I believe the broken </html> was just due to error in copying.
