    I have a link, and I want to change the color of the link to white, which I know how to do with CSS.

    Here's my question: Is there a way to add a border to the link with CSS that fits the shape of the text, that way it's easier to see on top of a background that has some white in it?

    Example: banner.png picture by jarron_burdine - Photobucket

    Just use text-shadow in your CSS.

    EDIT: btw, your link is broken

    Ah it's probably broken because I don't have enough posts to add links in my posts. Genius.

    And thank you very much for the suggestion. I got it working. Thanks!

    <style type="text/css">
    <!--
    a:link {color: #000000; text-decoration: underline; }
    a:active {color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline; }
    a:visited {color: #008000; text-decoration: underline; }
    a:hover {color: #ff0000; text-decoration: none; }
    -->
    </style>

    You can use this code

    Just do it in photoshop and use an image for your design - not a lot of browsers support the text-shadow property yet. However, I wouldn't recommend a white link on-top of a white background, maybe use a different color?
