    hey,
    i would like to use a header as a background. what i need to know is if there is any way to use a sliced image as a background. this is the code that i used.

    Code:
    <body style="background-image: url(images/header.gif);

    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-position: top left;">
    i would like to slice it up into about 6 peices and place them side by side. i tried it by using a table and placing each part of the image in a seperate cell but it its causing me some minor problems.
    i have not seen it done and its problem that i have never come across in my experience.

    any help would be good..

    I don't believe there's anything close to an easy way. The only thing that comes to mind is six layers that are zordered to the backmost position.

    I use a sliced background image on http://www.stevenmoseley.com. It's not too difficult.
