    hey all. i'm doing some tutorials. one of them is a glass and shadow css trick. does any body know why it keeps failing, saying something about version? how do i get this to validate? CSS Glass and Shadow the html validates just fine. just the css is failing(very un-cool).

    while($get_it !== true){ continue; }

    opacity is css3. So you need to validate using css3 instead of css2.1

    Change your link to the validator to this:

    W3C CSS Validator results for (CSS level 3)

    However, your css will still fail because of the IE filter's you are using. You will have to move those to a separate css file.

    Use this validator, it let's you specify which version of css you want to validate.

    Also found this for you while searching.

    Opacity is a CSS3 property but the validator is not set up for that just yet.

    You could do one CSS file for CSS3 only and <link> to it. So your normal CSS could be valid.
