    I have place an element which shows proper width in all browser except Opera. In Opera it shows extra height due to this my layout get weird.

    Here is my CSS:
    Container Div:
    .mypage_search_thumb_container{position:relative; float:left;width:635px; height:67px;margin-left:5px; overflow:auto;}

    The div which takes extra width in Opera:
    .mypage_search_thumb{position:relative; float:left; font-family:Helvetica; font-size:12px; margin-left:8px;font-weight:normal;width:120px;color:#000;text-align:center;}

    Have you tried forcing it with !important; added to the css for width? I don't really code for Opera standards but that works for most browsers.
