    Hiya guys!

    I'm having a little bit of trouble regarding imaging maps.
    Ok so I only learned how to map on Dreamweaver today and everything is done, i've got the HTML code (i'm presuming that Dreamweaver automatically writes it all out for you? Coordinates etc??) and I want to transfer this code onto my blog site "on Blogger" as its my header, however when I put the code into the HTML Blogger gadget, it doesn't work.

    Am I doing something wrong? Am I putting it in the wrong place? :ermm::surprised: Is there something I should/n't be omitting or adding?

    Please help! I'm such a girl at these techy things. lol

    Add the link

    I have a quick work around to make the whole header a link or do you need to make just part of it a link????
    If you can live with the whole image linking you can go into blogger
    go to edit layout,
    click edit html
    then add a link ie<a href="http://www.yourlink.com"></a> inside the header

    <div id='header-wrapper'>
    <a href='http://www.designawebnoosa.com.au'><b:section class='header' id='header' maxwidgets='1' showaddelement='no'>
    <b:widget id='Header1' locked='true' title='Sunshine Coast website designs (Header)' type='Header'/>
    </b:section></a>
    </div>
    This will make your whole header a clickable image
    Hope this helps

    Heya! It's not the whole header that will be a clickable link, there's only 6 clickable links on the header. This is it: http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/...indaposter.gif so its only the links at the bottom.

    I just need to know how to put the whole image onto blogger

    What are image map hrefs?? I'm not a HTML person This is the HTML code:

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <title>Untitled Document</title>
    </head>

    <body>
    <img src="New-Border1.gif" width="1976" height="622" border="0" usemap="#Map" />
    <map name="Map" id="Map">
    <area shape="rect" coords="225,314,395,427" href="http://steeviesshindig.blogspot.com/" target="_blank" alt="Home" />
    <area shape="rect" coords="463,312,662,428" href="http://steeviesshindig.blogspot.com/p/about-me.html" target="_blank" alt="New" />
    <area shape="rect" coords="737,310,944,433" href="http://www.twitter.com/macstephanton" target="_blank" alt="Twitter" />
    <area shape="rect" coords="1014,323,1217,441" href="http://www.thetiponline.com" target="_blank" alt="The Tip" />
    <area shape="rect" coords="1535,315,1706,433" href="http://www.steeviesmarketplace.blogspot.com/" target="_blank" alt="Store" />
    <area shape="rect" coords="1301,316,1442,438" href="http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/steevie2010" target="_blank" alt="ebay" />
    </map>
    </body>
    </html>

    What do I need to change so I can use it as my blogger header?

    You need to change the coords so they correspond with the boundaries of your links in your image (in pixels). The coords are x1,y1,x2,y2. If you don't understand anything that I just told you (which has nothing to do with HTML), I suggest you google "image map href" and read a tutorial or two.
