    Hello,

    I've used the following code to stick footers to the bottom of my page in html and it's been fine.

    #container {
    width:970px;
    margin:0px auto;
    min-height: 100%;
    position: relative;

    }

    #wrapper {
    position: relative;
    padding-bottom: 100px;
    }

    #footer {
    Position: absolute;
    bottom: 0;
    width: 970px;
    height: 100px;
    background-image:url(Images/footer.jpg); width:970px; height:60px;
    text-indent:750px;
    }

    body {
    background-color:#FFF;
    font-family:"Arial";
    display:inline;
    height:100%;
    }

    However I am working on a site in Dreamweaver currently and I just can't get it to work, I have the Container holding everything, the wrapper holding everything bar the footer and the footer in..... the footer.

    Can anyone see where I'm going wrong or know of a way around this in Dreamweaver?

    Any help would be hugely appreciated...

    Thanks,
    John.

    What is it that isn't working? Is it not showing up in the right position, or is it not showing up at all?

    There really isn't a need to absolutely position your footer. If you put it at the end of your page, with appropriate margins/padding, you'll be fine.

    The only reason to position a footer otherwise is if you must have it at the bottom of your page at all times. If that's the case, you don't want absolute positioning...you want fixed positioning. Be very sure that this is what you want, however. It's a difficult concept to learn, and a footer menu comes with its own specific nuances you'll have to deal with (e.g. in-page anchors, forms, etc.)

    I know you're new to web design, so I wouldn't touch this if I were you unless you absolutely have to.

    Hey all,
    Thanks for getting back, so the issue is that the footer isn't sticking to the bottom of the page, apart form that it is appearing fine.

    Here's the html for the Home page, there isn't any php on the page.
    Any help would be really appreciated as it's very frustrating, seems as this normally works.

    Are you putting spaces in your filenames? If so, that may be part of your problem. I doubt it since this generally only applies to older browsers, but you should still get into the habit of not using spaces in filenames.

    Hard to say without seeing the CSS, though.

    Take the bold line out. That's the thing I see off the top.
