    Hi,

    I am trying to create a semi-transparent div so as to be able to see a photo/slideshow behind, however my problem is that I also want to place the links and a logo on this transparency but they take on the same properties - below is the CSS I am using, can anyone help?

    Many thanks n advance...

    #transparency {
    filter: alpha(opacity=70);
    opacity: 0.70;
    background-color:#EEE;
    width: 850px;
    height: 100px;
    position: absolute;
    font-size: xx-large;
    text-align: right;
    top: 290px;
    left: 0px;
    color: #000;

    Just to verify that we're talking about the same thing, is the picture slideshow I used here what you had in mind in concept?

    I have found a way...I used the background-color: rgba(238,238,238, 0.7) and it works perfectly! Thanks
