    Hi
    I'm using this style for the body tag

    body
    {width: 960px; margin: 0 auto;
    }
    But when I display the page with IE6 the left sidebar just sticks to the left margin of the browser window and there is a white space between the right margin of the body contents and the browser window.
    What to do?

    text-align: center;

    Add that to the body tag.

    Then, add this in :

    Code:
    body * {
         text-align:  left;
    }
    Alternatively, if all of your site sits in a containing div you can set the containing div text-align to left as well.

    Wait...I just realized why.

    Tomy: that almost never works on the body. If you want to be sure that it works, create a containing div and put the same code into it.

    Like this:
    Code:
    body {margin: 0;  padding:  0;}
    #page-container:  margin:  0px auto;  width:  960px;  text-align:  center;}
    ...
    ...
    ...
    <body>
    <div id="page-container">
    ...
    </div>
    </body>
    That will work fo' sho'.

    Again, without the link it's hard to say. So you're going to have to put it up somewhere. The code I gave you should have worked.
