I have been working on this website, and for some reason in Firefox there is all this empty space to the right of my container div. Within the browser I can keep scrolling to the right even though there isn't anything there. It works fine in Safari.

I had this problem with the last website I was coding as well.
Can anyone help me with this?
    Here is the URL

    and the code:

It's probably that insanely oversized picture you have in the center of the page (the red and black handbags). Dude, that thing's 5 MB! Seriously, you think anyone's going to wait to download that thing?

Resize that to a reasonable size, make sure you assign some width and height attributes in the image tag of the picture (which you should be doing all the time anyway), and you'll probably be fine. If nothing else, at least you'll improve the download time of your site by about 95%.

Thanks for the comment about the photograph. It didn't fix the blank spot problem though. It works most of the time in Safari, but sometimes when it first loads that image is way off to the left. If i zoom in our out within the browser it fixes in Safari. In Firefox, the blank spot remains.

    any advice?

Actually, the problem ended up being a table, like you said. It was the one in my header include for to contain the search box. thanks again!
