I've seen pages where they have a picture, a basic picture that would fix besides itself a look like it's bigger then it really is, and I was wondering how this effect is done. I know you would have to paste it on the page many time but I'm not sure how. An example of this is on the page your looking at; at the top you see a darker blue go into a lighter blue, but the image isn't just one big image, it's one small image that is pasted side by side fixing together perfectly. Any help on this would be great.

This is basic CSS.
For the kind of gradient you see on this page, the image is 1px wide by 185 px high, with a gradient running from a darker blue at the top to a very light blue at the bottom. The colour at the bottom will match the background color of the page as set in the CSS. Then you set your CSS as follows:

body {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
background-color: #FFF; /* set the background colour of the page to the same colour as the bottom of the gradient, so there is no seam between the bottom of the image and any extra space below it on the page*/
background-image: url(yourimagepath.jpg);
background-repeat: repeat-x; /*this repeats the image seamlessly across the page */
}

Wow...Mare's CSS comes in all sorts of pretty colors.

It's kinda girly looking, but then again, Mare's girly, so I guess I'll allow for that.

There's a saying among horsemen - "There's no bad colour for a good horse"
Now we can say "There's no bad colour for good code" or, maybe "halfway decent code"...
