    I've got this problem while I'm doing the code:
    this is the code for my navigation in the home page:

    <div class="navItem" onMouseOver="SubNav('seat-heavy');" onMouseOut="clearNav('seat-heavy');"><a href="fps_heavy_duty.html" target="frame">Heavy Duty</a><div id='seat-heavy' class="dropDown" onMouseOver="SubNav('seat-heavy');" onMouseOut="clearNav('seat-heavy');">
    <div class="navItem"><a href="mf_dignity_seat.html" target="frame">Dignity</a></div>
    <div class="navItem"><a href="fps_heavy_duty.html#hc2" target="frame">Companion HD</a></div>
    <div class="navItem"><a href="fps_heavy_duty.html#hc3" target="frame">Snowball HD</a></div>
    <div class="navItem"><a href="fps_heavy_duty.html#hc4" target="frame">1000 Series HD</a></div>
    <div class="navItem"><a href="fps_heavy_duty.html#hc4" target="frame">2000 Series HD</a></div>
    <div class="navItem"><a href="fps_heavy_duty.html#hc5" target="frame">Traffic HD</a></div>
    <div class="navItem"><a href="fps_heavy_duty.html#hc6" target="frame">Heavy Duty Tables</a></div>
    <div class="navItem"><a href="fps_heavy_duty.html#hc7" target="frame">Drums & Cubes</a></div>
    </div></div>

    and I add another code in the page I want it to be jumped to different area:

    <div id="hc2" style="background: url('images/heavy_duty/hc_companion.gif') no-repeat 50%; height: 248px; position: relative;">

    <a href="#" name="sleeper_pricing_link" id="sleeper_pricing_link" style="display: block; width: 145px; height: 15px; position: absolute; left: 281px; top: 153px" onClick="MM_openBrWindow('spec_pricelists.html','' ,'scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=500,height=90 0'); return false;"></a>
    <a href="spec_hd_bro.pdf" id="ne05_link2" style="display: block; width:180px; height:12px; position: absolute; left: 281px; top: 169px;"></a>
    <a href="spec_mhs_bro.pdf" id="ne05_link2" style="display: block; width:180px; height:12px; position: absolute; left: 281px; top: 185px;"></a>
    <a href="#" onClick="shortPopUp('images/heavy_duty/popup_companion2.jpg', '', 716, 516)" id="ne05_link" class="borderlink" style="display: block; width: 178px; height: 216px; position: absolute; left: 522px; top: 11px;"></a
    ><a href="#" onClick="shortPopUp('images/heavy_duty/popup_companion1.jpg', '', 716, 516)" id="ne05_link3" class="borderlink" style="display: block; width: 180px; height: 187px; position: absolute; left: 68px; top: 37px;"></a>

    </div>

    <div id="hc3" style="background: url('images/heavy_duty/hc_snowball.gif') no-repeat 50%; height: 252px; position: relative;">
    <a href="#" onClick="shortPopUp('images/heavy_duty/popup_snowball.jpg','','725','525')" id="hc_link_geriatric" class="borderlink" style="display: block; width: 188px; height: 222px; position: absolute; left: 483px; top: 9px;"></a>
    <a href="#" onClick="MM_openBrWindow('spec_pricelists.html','' ,'scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=500,height=90 0'); return false;" id="hc_link_geriatric_2" style="display: block; width:166px; height:15px; position: absolute; left: 110px; top: 125px;"></a>
    <a href="spec_hd_bro.pdf" id="hc_rocks_3" style="display: block; width:178px; height:15px; position: absolute; left: 109px; top: 141px;"></a>
    <a href="spec_mhs_bro.pdf" id="hc_rocks_3" style="display: block; width:189px; height:15px; position: absolute; left: 110px; top: 155px;"></a> </div>

    ...............

    and I test it on the server, the problem is that it seems only works in the IE browser.
    Neither firefox nor safari.

    Dose anybody knows the problem?

    I don't see what you're trying to say. But i think you are using JavaScript when there is none needed. All you need to do is name the anchor link you want to jump to, and then link to with with an 'href'. Like so:
    <div id="whatever"><a name="top"> This is the top of the page </a></div>
    ....

    <a href="#top"> Back to top</a>

    I don't get it either. But you don't have to name an anchor link. Any id will do for navigational purposes.

    G & G - I read the original post, and the question seems to be "How can I have a link in one page that will jump to a specific place on another page?"

    I'm not sure, I've never done this, I just link from page to page or from point to point on the same page. But it's something I might want to know someday. You guys have any ideas?

    You include the path to the page and the anchor point. Let's say you have a page1.html and you want to link to "middle" on page2.html for some reason.

    <a href="page2.html#middle">Middle of page 2</a>

    That's how you do it.
    AlphaMare and George Dolidze like this.
