    Having managed to get all of the elements working in Safari, Chrome, Opera and Firefox I am having difficulties in Internet Explorer. I have attache a screenshot showing how it shows up in IE for those of you who work on a mac, here is the link to the 'testsite': There is also the rounded corners not being applied in IE.

    If it's the rounded corners and drop shadows, IE doesn't support those. You're better off providing a background with the rounded corners and drop shadows either for IE specifically (using a conditional comment) or for everyone.

    It's probably not the answer you were looking for, but it is as good as it's going to get.

    Yup....'I tried all kinda hacks in the past to get rounded corners to work in IE... I've heard they will display properly in IE9... but that might not be completely accurate... Ended up doing corner images for all 4 corners... Works ok... But the code is massive for this one effect...

    Simplified code... Png background images for your boxes are probably the easier and a whole lot less code.... Especially if you want the drop shadows and rounded corners.... It might sound like cheating... But There is a breakpoint where the learning process ceases and losing money starts.
