    Hi

    I am trying to create a bullet list of a webpage i am building and i wanted to use a image i have in the My Pictures folder on my C drive using CSS.

    The html code i am using is:
    <H3> List of Classic Films</H3>
    <div id="navcontainer">
    <ul id="navlist">
    <li>Frankenstein</li>
    <li>Dracula</li>
    <li>The Wolf Man</li>
    <li>Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde</li>
    <li>Hellzapoppin</li>
    </ul>
    </div>

    The CSS code i am using is:
    #navlist
    {
    list-style-image: url(C:\Documents and Settings\SeymourJ\My Documents\My Pictures\arrow.gif);
    }

    However when i open the page in Internet explorer it does not show the image which should be a purple image. Does anyone know why it is not showing the image i have selected in CSS?

    Thanks

    Jeskit

    Hi
    I have figured it out, the name was spelt wrong. Sorry my bad!!

    However it now is for some reason the text in the list and image are not aligning in the center.

    Does anyone know how i can change this so the the text in the list and the image are aligned in the center?

    Thanks

    Jeskit

    url(C:\Documents and Settings\SeymourJ\My Documents\My Pictures\arrow.gif);

    You are going to want to change this path once the site is uploaded to your webhost, it will work for you now since you are vewing it on your computer, but everybody is not going to have access to your C drive.

    As far as why the images and text are not lining up it may be due to the size of the image relative to the way the browser is rendering your font. Your image editing program may be using different font settings then your browser.
