I have been working on this template for my website yet I am running into an issue with zooming. If I zoom out the layout breaks. You can see the page here http://keith.pro/template/temp.html.

I also am not that experienced with this and made a design in Paint.net and the cut the images up and coded up what you see there, so with that in mind any suggestions on how to do something better would be great too.

    Hi there~
Well, what do you mean by the layout breaks? I view the page and it looks the same regardless how I zoom in or out.
    Cheers

Design is a funny word. Some people think design means how it looks.
But of course, if you dig deeper, itís really how it works.

    I wouldnt worry about it.

the issue you have here is that the border width that you have on the div containers are 1px no matter what size the zoomed out function is. This is normal. I get it quite often as well.

I currently Run a 1600x900 screen and notice no issues with floating divs at that resolution so I shouldnt worry about it to be honest.

The zoom funtion is only of any use when your taking a screenshot of the page for your portfolio...Ive no idea why zooming out is helpful, However zooming in is very useful for people with visual difficulties.

    Hope this answers your question.

Could you explain what you did to fix the issue please? We get quite a few members on the forums that ask a question and then say dont worry ive fixed it without explaining how they fixed it. This can be of benefit other members of the forum and the public.

So if you would be so kind... Thanks

I got rid of the border and used an image instead. I also wrapped my side-bar and content in an other container at set the background image in that. I did some googling and found information on it particularly this. http://markasunread.com/examples/zoombug.html
