Short version - I used a template 3-column layout and adapted it for the front page of a site for a local running club. Somewhere along the line, the text and images within the three central column divs started to simply not show up in Firefox, but looked fine in anything else.

    The original template site works fine in FF, so clearly it's something I've done, but hours of searching for a solution and messing with it hasn't worked out. Not all about starting over. If anyone knows at a glance what is going on, would be much appreciated.

    (Warning, it's ugly as sin and they like it that way)

    Wow, you weren't kidding, Comic Sans and everything.

    That said, I'm looking at the code straight off the page and am finding it difficult to even follow what is going on, despite the heavily commented code. I'm not sure what to tell you about why it breaks in FF. I even looked at the layout website and tried to follow what he's doing, and I'm still at a loss.

    Unfortunately, the answer may lie in redoing the layout of the page. It sucks. I had to do it just last night. A layout I was working was not working on any version of IE below 9. It wasn't just that it was broken, it's as if it were completely ignoring my CSS completely. I had to delete everything and start from scratch. I'm still not sure why, but it worked like a charm the second go.

    But, who knows, maybe someone else around here could locate the issue...

    Remove all the double quotes from the "comic sans" in your style sheet.

    Should be: font-family:comic sans;

    Double quotes are not needed in a CSS file. Just to a quick glance, remove them and see what happens.

    Actually, when a font name includes whitespace or any punctuation other than a dash, it should be in quotes.

    Update - More or less determined that it somehow related to the odd column ordering for SEO of the center content, scrapped it and started over with a more standard 3-col layout, works fine now.

    See you learn something new every day, I've never done that and never had a problem with a font not displaying.

    I better get to updating about 400 CSS files that are not broken yet. But wait, I always have a generic font specified, so maybe only 200 need updating.

    Well, if they're working fine without the quotes, maybe you shouldn't bother changing them, it sure sounds like a lot of work. I just was taught the quotes were necessary in those circumstances, and have always used them, so I don't have any experience with whether they break without them.

    UPCUMMING EVENTS:
