    I'm having trouble centering my website within the browser.

    I designed the site with a large background 1680 x 1050 to optimize it for larger monitors, however when the browser opens the view is not of my centered content but the complete left of the site/background.

    I have attached a picture of my coding in Dreamweaver.

    Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    Is the background image the Noisy picture on the far left of the second screenshot?
    If it is you dont need to make it the size you have, all you will need to do is make the image say 50x50 and have it repeating x and y, you will get the same effect and it will speed up your page download times.

    If there is a true image behind there, use this code within your body instead.

    Make sure your image is 1024x768 maximum and at a high (but not stupidly high) resolution.

    Then add this code:

    Code:
    background: url(../images/bg.jpg) no-repeat center center fixed;
            -webkit-background-size: cover;
            -moz-background-size: cover;
            -o-background-size: cover;
            background-size: cover;
    What this code does will make sure the background is the same size when viewed on any browser. Its a very helpful bit of code.

    Hope this helps.
