Hey all, my problem is this:

I make my layout in photoshop, bring it over to dreamweaver as an index.html, center it or whatever...and theres gaps. I did originally do it at 800x600 cause i read thats a good size for a template in PS, but i upped it to 1024x768 to see if that helped. It did a little, but not all the way. I have extreeeeemeeeeely limited knowledge in html, but i believe this is probably a "padding" issue? Anyway, here, have a look for yourselves and tell me if theres anymore info i could be providing.

So are you trying to convert the PSD to html? I dont quite understand what you are trying to do here.

Usually when you design a website. I recommend a maximum width of 1000px, that way it will fit within 1024x screens and is viewable on smaller resolutions like 1600x900 (which is my current size atm)

With regards getting knowledge of HTML and CSS I recommend you browse through the Tutorials section of this forum to get a new ideas on html and css =)

i guess the height of the document is what depends on whether it hits the bottom of the page or not?
