    Hi

    I'm new to this forum and I would like some help on a html code of a table. The code is:

    Code:
    <table cellpadding="<?=$tableouterborderwidth ?>" cellspacing="0" border="0"
     bgcolor="<?=$tablebordercolor ?>" <?=$tableouterextra ?> width="100%"
     height="100%">
    <tr height="100%"><td valign="top" height="100%">
          <table cellpadding="4"
     cellspacing="1" border="0"  width="100%" height="100%">
            <tr id="cat">
              <td
    bgcolor="<?=$tableheadbgcolor ?>">
    <font face="<?=$smallfontface ?>" size="<?=$smallfontsize ?>"
     color="<?=$categoryfontcolor ?>">
              <b>Developer</b></font></td>
            </tr>
            <tr>
              <td bgcolor="<?=$firstaltcolor ?>" valign="top" height="100%">
    <font face="<?=$smallfontface ?>"
    size="<?=$smallfontsize ?>" color="<?=$categoryfontcolor ?>">
               <center>
    <a href="http://www.bluefang.com" target="_blank">
    <img src="../images/bluefang.gif" width="65" height="102" border="0">
    </a></center>
                </font></td>
            </tr>
          </table>
        </td>
      </tr>
    </table>
    The problem with this code is that the border at the bottom doesn't show. The column it's in does not have a height now but I tried with a height (percent and pixels) but it didn't work. Any help? I included a screenshot to let everyone see what's up with it. If you don't understand what the problem is, please ask, I will be happy to explain it better

    That post page was a bit messed???
    I can't read the code properly, but i think it may be because you have no text in the bottom cell. if it is just a blank cell, you have to put (just a space will do) a character in it for the boreder to show. hope this helps, if not, could you repost please?

    border="0"
    use CSS instead, that way you can specify which sides have borders.

    I tried adding text in it but it isn't an empty row, it has an image in it. I like this way better then CSS because this way I don't have to put a class in every row. And my whole site is running on these variables so I'm not planning on changing it.

    I changed the post a little to make it nearly fit on the page. You can read it now?

    Does anyone know whats up with this code - does this work in your website is it part of your design - otherwise use buntine's idea - and you need to set the border width for each of the cells to a number - 1/2 or whatever?

    <td bgcolor="<?=$tableheadbgcolor ?>"> <font face="<?=$smallfontface ?>" size="<?=$smallfontsize ?>" color="<?=$categoryfontcolor ?>"></td>

    I won't use CSS, simply for the fact that I have to edit every page of my site. I'm sure this can be resolved, only I guess you need to see the whole page to know what's going on. I attached the source code.

    well use external style sheets. Thats the whole point of them, so you dont have to edit each page.

    also, justlivyalife has pointed out an error in your code. Try fixin that up

    you have not specified a border in your code. Try removing the space (&.nbsp thats in your actual code on the home.html page.

    Sorry for the inpatience, but I really need to solve this issue a.s.a.p. I'm already late with releasing my new site publicly. So anyone, please?

    That &.nbsp; was placed there for "text" like justliveyalife asked. I think I will have to use CSS then. But I have a question, when you split a cell into 2 cells, will the other cell have the css style in it too? Or do I have to put it in the <table> tag?
