I a trying for the first time to create a 3 texture background with full screen width for any size screen and a fixed footer similar to this website:

I have attached a screenshot of what I am seeing in Dreamweaver, however when testing no background image shows, also attached is the CSS I have been trying.

I will be using a small tile or a 1px strip of a background image, initially I took the background I created and used the strip (repeat-y) but the highest quality png/jpg was really rough. I am very new to CSS3 and my CSS knowledge is decent but not brilliant by any means. Can somebody please advise and possibly show me an example to help?

    Many thanks

Hi, I'm not entirely sure as to what you want to do.

    1- You want to repeat-y a 1px by 1px image? That's gonna be tiny.
2- Your css has syntax errors, you are adding commas instead of semi-colons.
3- Make sure your urls to your images are correct.

exactly what chris said. The best thing you can do is to upload the site as it currently is to a free webhost and send us the link so we can diagnose the issue properly.
