    I'm thinking no one is answering as most people that post or provide comments are not really into tables.

    Modern ( current ) web design, utilizes CSS based design that uses CSS to position things on a page.

    Historically, table based design was easier, and more stable, but slow to load. With all the browsers now supporting at least basic CSS standards, everyone serious about design is using that instead of tables.
