    Hello.

    I know, its unusual for me to post a help request here as I know html and css very well.. But this is doing my brain in.

    MY SITE has a portfolio, and its been suggested to me to have _blank links to the live sites for clients to view. The issue I have is each time i try to wrap a <a href> around the large image to make that a live link. It messes up the html. Does anyone have any idea on what I can do or another work around? I wanna break a wall atm

    Cheers

    -Marc

    One thing, if this is only happening in IE, IE defaults to adding a border around the image if it is linked. Try adding img{border:0;} at the very top of your CSS and see if that helps.

    Other than that, if you want to "break" the page so I can see what you mean, I'd be happy to have a look at it.

    EDIT: Changed above CSS.

    (Check your e-mail.)

    Basically this:
    Since you're typing in the images manually, just type in the anchor tag and it should make them a link- if you want the <h2>'s to be links, add it there as well.

    <h1>My Portfolio</h1>
    <div class="main_image">
    <a href="http://www.sitename1.com" target="_blank"><img src="images/slideshow/tcol.jpg" alt=" keywords here for SEO" /></a>
    <div class="desc">
    <div class="block">
    <h2><a href="http://www.sitename1.com" target="_blank"><Sitename1</a></h2>
    <small>August 2011</small>
    <p>Site description here</p>
    </div>
    </div>

    <div class="main_image">
    <a href="http://www.sitename2.com" target="_blank"><img src="images/slideshow/tcol.jpg" alt=" keywords here for SEO" /></a>
    <div class="desc">
    <div class="block">
    <h2><a href="http://www.sitename2.com" target="_blank"><Sitename2</a></h2>
    <small>August 2011</small>
    <p>Site description here</p>
    </div>
    </div>
    Further down the code, you can make your thumbnail <h2>'s into links as well.

    <div class="image_thumb">
    <ul>
    <li><a href="images/slideshow/tcol.jpg"><img src="images/slideshow/tcol.jpg" alt="Sitename1" height="35" width="45"/></a>
    <div class="block">
    <h2><a href="http://www.sitename1.com" target="_blank"><Sitename1</a></h2>
    <small>July 2009</small>
    <p>Site description here</p>
    </div>
    </li>
    </ul>

    <ul>
    <li><a href="images/slideshow/tcol.jpg"><img src="images/slideshow/tcol.jpg" alt="Sitename2" height="35" width="45"/></a>
    <div class="block">
    <h2><a href="http://www.sitename2.com" target="_blank"><Sitename2</a></h2>
    <small>July 2009</small>
    <p>Site description here</p>
    </div>
    </li>
    </ul>
