    okay, so to make web development easier, you give id's or class's, so what is the class name that's not showing up, far left doesn't really mean much...

    One of Microsoft's best-kept secrets. It doesn't have any syntax highlight for PHP (on the rare occasions I use PHP, I use Notepad++).

    Both are free.

    All you have for buffer1 (whatever that's supposed to describe for the function of that div on your page *wink wink*) is a set width and floated to the left. I'm sure it's showing... it's nothing but a blank space. There are absolutely no HTML elements/contents inside that div.

    Also, on another note:
    You've really got to stop targeting elements on your pages like this:
    Code:
    #container #mainContent #buffer
    &
    Code:
    #container #mainContent #buffer1
    . We already saw before on the home page for your site how this can create issues.

    Just from me: You're not ready to market your web design services yet. You need others that are more experienced than you working with you.

    Your page code is not closed on any of your pages - you have this:

    <div id="footer">
    <div id="copyright">
    <p> Copyright etc, etc </p>
    </div>
    </div>
    </div>
    <!-- -->

    You have no closing </body> tag or closing </html> tag.

    I agree - you cannot expect to be taken seriously as a web designer if you are using this to create your site.

    I don't want to be harsh, but I have invested years of education, both formal and on-the-job, development software, computer equipment, and more in order to do this work.

    I have years of experience, and years of keeping current with the new trends both in design and in coding.

    I know HTML, CSS, javascript, AJAX, PHP, MySQL, and even some Flash.

    I can build a database and know how to create a site with embedded SEO features.

    And it gets me a tad bit upset when folks who use a browser-based web creation tool call themselves a Web Design Firm offering to sell their services.

    If you really want to be a designer - go for it! And one of the best things you can do to further that goal is to participate in forums like this one. But before you go into business, get the tools you'll need. Learn to write clean, valid code, study the principles of design, practice making sites for friends and family or even imaginary clients. Don't settle for shoddy work - wait until you can be proud of your original designs before you try to sell them.

    Even though she hasn't responded to the private message I sent her yet, I'll repeat it again here. We're only rooting for you to fulfill your dreams! However, you NEED this criticism because no one in the right mind would sign up and pay for your service at this point (which would really be WebDesignForums.net's service because you'll have to ask the community here how to do anything and everything for you).

    I think you should start investing in some reading material, starting with Design Your Own Web Site Using HTML & CSS, Volume 2 - Ian Lloyd (Sitepoint)

    Come back soon and keep talking to us!! You have to be in action here (not 28 posts active) nearly every day, especially if you're not planning on enrolling in some ritzy, expensive college courses. We haven't heard back from you in nearly 3 days!
