    hey guys in need of a little assistance...

    http://karmacartel.com/enter/

    take a look at where it says "enter karma cartel.."

    now move your mouse over it.. as you can tell only the text part turns black.. i want the whole box to turn black when someone moves their mouse over it...

    does anyone know a quick shortcut of doing this? seems like a fairy simple a:hover? but it's not working out like that at all..

    here's my css:

    Code:
    .rightbox {
    margin-top: 50px;
    font-family: helvetica;
    margin-left: 80px;
    width: 300px;
    height: 30px;
    background: #fff;
    color: #000;
    font-size: 18pt;
    border-bottom: 3px solid #000;
    border-radius:10px;
    -moz-border-radius:10px;
    padding: 15px 0px 10px 10px;
    display: block;
    text-align: center;
    }

    .rightbox a:hover {
    background: #000;
    }
    thanks in advance..

    Not a shortcut, but in this case, the hover area is the entire white box, so if you did something like this:
    Code:
    a.rightbox {
    margin-top: 50px;
    font-family: helvetica;
    margin-left: 80px;
    width: 300px;
    height: 30px;
    background: #fff;
    color: #000;
    font-size: 18pt;
    border-bottom: 3px solid #000;
    border-radius:10px;
    -moz-border-radius:10px;
    padding: 15px 0px 10px 10px;
    text-align: center;
    }
    Then you could apply your hover effect.
