    Hey, The following is my CSS for my site:

    Code:
    a:hover { color:#000000;}
    a:link { color:#788CAA; text-decoration: underline;}
    a:visited { color:#788CAA; text-decoration: underline;}
    What I want is for the visted links to still turn black when you hover over them but they just stay at #788CAA. Im sure there is a simple way to do this but Im just not that good with CSS. Anyone know how?

    Change the order.

    a:link { color:#788CAA; text-decoration: underline;}
    a:visited { color:#788CAA; text-decoration: underline;}
    a:hover { color:#000000;}

    Odd, I've never seen the order affect stuff like this before. Where'd you learn that?

    I had that problem once, except with active and hover. They should be in the order they'll be used (a, link, visited, hover, active, focus). I switched active and hover and it wouldn't work, so after a lil playing and stuff it worked, later I read that it has to be in that order.

    Yes, I remember that being on the forum once before... it shouldn't matter, but it does. Perhaps internally (in the browser) it gets all the link's properties (visited=true,hover=true) and goes down the list of pseudoclasses until it finds the first one that matches.
