    I am trying to style a form but the standard white fields won't change. In fact I styled ugly purple fields to see where the fields were exactly and the standard white fields are floating on top of my ugly purple styled fields. Is this a css error or something to do with my php file? I dont know php but i didnt think php styled at all. I'm really confused.

    HTML Code:
    #form_wrapper{
        position:relative;
        width:365px;
        height:400px;

        top:50px;
        right:100px;

    You're changing the div input class, not the input field itself. This is why you should never name a class after a standard HTML tag...it leads to confusion.
    Code:
    input {background-color:  #00CC00;}
    Watch what happens when you do that...and notice how I didn't include a . before the input (that's the key).

    I did something similar since another guy on another forum suggested something similar. I made a separate attribute "input" just like you said I hadn't changed the gawd-awful purple because I was trying to see where the fields were, I'm gonna restyle it later when i get the floating thing sorted out; but that makes sense about accidentally changing the class instead of the field. Unfortunately I still have these floating white fields

    OK I got it I had to get rid of all my class styles for the fields and it worked. Yes you were right about confusing.

    Another Guy is closely related to Somebody Else, who knows I Can't Remember Who, and lives near Mr. And Many More, who sells music on late night TV.
