    I am making a sales page and would like to make a box around my personal testimonials. I want to color the background of the box a solid color like yellow(while the rest of the page is still white). How do I create such a frame?

    Use CSS

    Height: auto;
    Width: 80%;
    Border: 1px solid #ccc;
    Background-color: yellow;
    Padding: 15px;
    Margin: 15px 10%;
    Text-align: center;
    Font-style: italics;

    Or that's how I've done a lot of them.

    But what are the actual tags I use? Pasting your snippet into my site obviously doesn't create a box...

    Here would be the CSS (goes in your .CSS file):
    Code:
    .yella-box {
    Height: auto;
    Width: 80%;
    Border: 1px solid #ccc;
    Background-color: yellow;
    Padding: 15px;
    Margin: 15px 10%;
    Text-align: center;
    Font-style: italics;
    }
    And here's your HTML tag:
    Code:
    <div class="yella-box">Dis daggone thing be a yella box, varmint.</div>
