UPDATE - Well I already changed the doctypes. Interesting thing though, FWIW: when you view page source, the body tags are there; but when you go into the NS online editor, they're missing. Also, inside the editor, NS appends an html tag to the very top of the document, before the doctype descriptor. But again, outside the editor, in "view page source", that's not there.

That's why you're better off using your own editor (something like say Notepad++) and uploading it via FTP using a program such as FileZilla (both the editor and the FTP program are free). Doing it that way ensures that a site editor such as NS's can't mess up your code.

Okay. I designed this site in Arachnophilia (which I really like - I was impressed by the creator's essays and ideas. Plan to go back and read more some time.)

But instead of FTP, I just uploaded the files in NS's File Manager using their Multiple Upload option. I thought maybe FTP was for if you had a huge site or something --- did not know it could maintain the integrity of your files somehow? But I'll try to remember that for next time - Filezilla.

    Thanks for your help!

No problem, hermano. It's not so much that FileZilla maintains the integrity of your code so much as file managers and other third-party tools that hosts supply generally don't. They're destroyers by their very nature.

Good luck to you and your dad!
