What is the semantic way to have a sentence span two paragraphs? Do I have to include a line break after each closing tag? Does it matter if it's HTML 4 or 5? Example:

    <p>The house I want</p>
<p>is at the end of the block.</p>

    or

    <p>The house I want</p> <br />
<p>is at the end of the block.</p>

Nevermind got the answer. Is there anyway to delete threads, or mark them as solved?

Not really...but you could post the solution so that others can see it.

I was told a paragraph is a block of text, so if you want it to be multi lined you could do

    HTML Code:
    <p> This is a sentence <br />
that finishes on the second line</p>

Yes, that will put it on at least two lines.

What you'll need to consider, however, is that some people will resize their text and when it's big enough, two lines will turn into three, four lines and up.

There's really nothing I can do about that then, right? What if the font is in ems?

The issue will still exist, since plain text is relative. Now...when that issue will come up will vary, depending on how wide the element is that you're putting the paragraph tag into, but eventually it will happen.

Why do you need it to split, anyway? What are you trying to accomplish?

I'm just curious what the most semantic way would be to accomplish that
