I'm new to web design. Can anyone share their wisdom with for this basic landing page I am making?

It's just a basic parallax scrolling page with responsive side navigation that I am basing of of several tutorials. Right now there are two main problems that I have fiddle with for the past 3-4 hours.

    1) Why is there a weird space to the right of the page body that reveals itself when you scroll right? I really don't know why it's there. Obviously something is a muck. The page should stretch across the entire window without any extra space ont he sides.

    2) Like I said I am using a responsive side navigation set up that works great except for the last section of the page in which they become unresponsive. I snatched the code from a tutorial that was originally designed for four sections. I added a fifth and then tried my hand at updating the Js but to no avail. Any ideas?

I think you answers your own question.

Tried updating the JS and you're new to all this.

JS is not something you just tweak and everything is hunky dory.

I suspect since you added a new section to the HTML and possibly the controlling JS, but not the core functionality of the JS.

All arrays in JS start with "0" not 1 so if your JS had an array for 0-3 and you didn't think it would affect functionality, wrong. You have to find that array and add a 4th section that would actually control the 5 page...

That's pretty much the most common issue that plagues new designers when they take code someone else wrote and try to improve it ...
